A Study of the Relationship between Emotional Management of Elementary School Students and Classroom Climate in Yunlin County

Popis: | 98 This study aims to explore the current condition of the emotional management of elementary school students, classroom climate, and their relationship in Yunlin County. To fulfill the research purpose, the questionnaire, “Emotional Management of Elementary School Students and Classroom Climate in Yunlin County”, was edited by the researcher according to the literature review. The subjects were 660 public elementary school students in Yunlin County. The collected data were analyzed through T-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, and multiple stepwise regression analysis. The findings of the study are described as follows: 1.The current condition of emotional management ability of the elementary school students in Yunlin County is fair. On the whole the best of all is “the awareness of emotion.” 2.Students get the highest score on the awareness of the type of closeness, while they get the lowest score on the awareness of the type of apathy for classroom climate in Yunlin County. 3.On emotional management, female students are better than male ones; students with parents are better than those with single parent; students in large-scale schools perform better than those in the medium schools; students in rural villages are better than those in cities. 4.On the ability of emotional awareness, the sixth graders are better than the fourth ones. On the ability of emotional expression, the students of female homeroom teacher are better than those of male teacher. 5.The differences of the awareness of the classroom climate are existed in different genders, family structures, grades, genders of homeroom teachers, school scales and school locations of students in Yunlin County. 6.The better ability of emotional management the elementary school students possess, the higher awareness is existed toward the type of participation and closeness regarding classroom climate. 7.Positive correlation occurs between the types of the classroom climate, participation and closeness, and the emotional management of elementary school students in Yunlin County. 8.The emotional management ability of elementary school students in Yunlin County has an influence on the prediction of classroom climate. Among all the emotional management abilities, the expression of the emotion possesses the most positive influence on the prediction of classroom climate. |
