Involvement, Sense of Place, School Identity:A Case Study of Jhihtan Elementary School

Popis: | 96 Sense of place is one of the subjects discussed with Environment Psychology or the relationship with the other fields. And it emphasizes the interaction between human beings and places. Facing to the favorable impression of places or familiar with the places makes the individual become more attachable themselves to the conditions. People attaching themselves to the fields imply they identify the fields. So the sense of place is related to the involvement. The more involved people are in, the stronger feeling of keeping track they get. The adults’ sense of place are trained up since they are little children, and one-third studying children are trained from school where they take lessons or may entrust their emotion. There are a lot of foreigner study documents discovering the studying fields from campus environment or from environment perceptive correlated documents. However, there is less analyses of the influence relationship between the involvement of children and sense of place. So this study is aimed at the analysis of cause and effect in involvement, sense of place and school identity. And there are three place--the ecosystem, playing ground, the other outdoor space in the Jhihtan Elementary School to be study area. There are the total amount of 122 students from Jhihtan Elementary School who are studying in from the third to the sixth grade class. The study adopts descriptive statistics, reliability analysis,one-way ANOVA analysis, regression analysis. and structural equation modeling to analyze data and the results are in the following: 1. in some place,the difference family context have difference to the involvement influence of the pupil. 2. in some place, the difference community context have difference to the involvement influence of the pupil. 3. in some place,the difference family context have difference to the sense of place influence of the pupil. 4. in some place,the difference community context have difference to the sense of place influence of the pupil. 5. pupil’s involvement positively effects the sense of place. 6. in some place,pupil’s sense of place effects the school identity. 7. in three place, involvement positively effects the school identity. |
