Isolation and anaylsis of bioactive flavonol glycosides from Taiwan endemic plant Cinnamomum osmophloeum leaves

Popis: | 96 Three kaempferol glycosides were isolated from the leaves of Cinnamomum osmophloeum Kaneh, a Taiwan endemic tree. These three compounds were determined to be kaempferitrin (compound 1), and kaempferol 3-O-β-D- glucopyranosyl-(1→4)-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-7-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside (compound 2), and kaempferol3-O-β-d-apiofuranosyl-(1→2)-α-L-arabin- ofuranosyl-7- O-α-l-rhamnopyranoside (compound 3). A simple, rapid procedure, using capillary electrophoresis (CE), that can efficiently measure added folic acid in fortified instant fried noodles has been developed and validated. Optimum separation of flavonoids was obtained on a 57 cm × 50 μm × 37.5 μm (effective length 50 cm) capillary using 35 mM borate run buffer at pH 9.8, temperature of 25°C and voltage of 25 kV. The detection wavelength was 280 nm.The entire separation was completed within 15 minutes. In addition extraction of Chinese herbal medicines currently active ingredients, mostly organic solvent extraction method used, it is the residual concerns, with the salt water to replace the organic solvent extraction, the optimal salt water extraction conditions, NaCl 0.1 M, extraction time 1 h, solvent to solid ratio 40:1. |
