In the late development of Poetry in Ching Dynasty, all schools, styles, and delight of appreciation have experienced the circulation back and forth many times, so the world can be seen in each piece of work thoroughly. Wang, Guo-Wei’s given name is Buo Wui, and nick name is Jing An, who was from HiNing in Zhe Jiang. He is an outstanding historic, ancient writing specialist, literature theorist and poet.in the interval of current and modern times. He combined ideology of both western aesthetics with Chinese classical aesthetics and formed them to an unique aesthetic ideology to become a remarkable aesthetic ideologist. The poetry he made was admirably concise and rich in meaning. He found the ways from the old form of poetry with the attempt of turning back the powers of darkness for reanimation of Ching poetry. In the declining poetic field in the late Ching dynasty, his work was like the unequalled clouds sparkled in the beginning of the evening shadows. However, for quite some time, the study of “Renjian ci” always lacked of complete and deep interpretation, so the proper status of the poetry cannot be shown adequately. In this article, I tried to view his tortuously subtle suffering behind the poetry composition in the study of “Renjian ci” to further understand the meaning of the times and the value in the development history of the poetry. The article can be divided into 8 chapters: Chapter 1: Introduction: to discuss the motivation and method of the study, and documentation. Chapter 2: The background of Wang, Guo-Wei’s time,life, and works: to depict the political and literature environment, poetry fashions, life and works in the late Ching dynasty for the purpose of better understanding the influence from his time background to his personality and works. This can be used to explore his ideology, the subject of poetry, technology of forms and style of works to be a basis. Chapter 3: The concept of Wang, Guo-Wei’s composition in poetry: the concept of composition, aesthetic were the guidance of the author’s ideology in composition. This chapter mainly views the concept of composition in poetry from both written and feeling aspects. Chapter 4: The subjects of Wang, Guo-Wei’s poetry: The subjects of Wang, Guo-Wei’s poetry are complicated and diversified and carried all affection and feeling in mind. The chapter explores three aspects: deeply attached affection from joy and sorrow, reflections from life, the emotion of intoning scenery and things. Chapter 5: Style and technique of Wang, Guo-Wei’s poetry: from rhetoric, symbolism, structure arrangement to discuss styles and technique of “Renjian ci”. Chapter 6: The artistic characteristic of Wang, Guo-Wei’s poetry: the artistic characteristic of the poetry are the integrated representation of content to style and affection to languages. This chapter concluded all scholars’ point of view from three aspects to further analysis: simple words but deep meaning and decidedly will but gracious words; straightforward style of writing, simple, natural, and sincere; rising and falling gloomy, sorrowful and vague. As a result, “Renjian ci” represents more notable artistic characteristics. Chapter 7: The achievement and evaluation of Wang, Guo-Wei’s poetry: The evaluation and argument on “Renjian ci” from all scholars are concluded in this article, for the comprehension to Wang, Guo-Wei’s evaluation and status in the history of poetry in the late Ching dynasty. Chapter 8: Conclusion: This contains a comprehensive comment on Wang, Guo-Wei’s poetry for establishing his status in the history of poetry and literature in the late Ching dynasty.
