Popis: | 95 The purpose of this study is to investigate the friction characteristic of antifriction liner Turcite-B and the mechanical performance of a newly designed linear motion module with sliding bearing. In practice of machine tool, the anti-wear liner bearing should be scrapped properly by hand operation after coated on the guide-way to form a uniform surface bearing spots so that better contact geometry and lubrication condition can be kept for high precision positioning in machining. However, the less experience in scraping may result in poor surface roughness and hence positioning precision. To prevent such deficiencies for future application, the evaluation of the effect of scraping on the performance of the sliding guide-way is therefore of importance. To this purpose, a series of the friction tests was performed on the sliders with different anti-friction bearings to evaluate the friction characteristics under different loadings. After that a prototype of a linear module with sliding liners was constructed for evaluating the dynamic characteristics and positioning precision. Current results indicate that the scraped Turcite B liner was rated with a lower friction coefficient ranging from 0.019 to 0.059. The finite element predicted natural frequencies also agree well with the measured results in vibration test, with a maximum difference less than 5.8%. Regarding the motion performance, the linear module was shown to have a better positioning precision of 50μm/20mm and repeatability within ±3μm. |
