Popis: | 93 THE STUDY OF THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN TEACHER’S PERCEPTION ON ORGANIZATIONAL TRUST AND THEIR COMMITMENT AND CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR IN CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOLS IN TAIWAN YI-CHEN TIEN ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to understand the status quo of the organizational trust, organizational commitment and organization behavior of the Catholic high school teachers in Taiwan, and their relationships. Based on questionnaire survey, which took the directors, team leaders, homeroom teachers and full-time teachers serving in the 27 Catholic high schools in Taipei City, Kaohsiung City and Taiwan province as population, questionnaires were sent to those chosen with stratified random sampling according to the scale of the school. The total copies sent was 513, and 433 copies were returned. The responding rate was 84.4%. After eliminating the 6 invalid copies, there were 427 valid copies. The availability is 99%. The data collected from the valid copies were analyzed with frequency analysis, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation. The outcomes of the study were as follow: 1. The overall organizational trust of the Catholic high school teachers in Taiwan was high, and “organizational peer trust” had the highest percentage in this dimension. The organizational trust of male teachers, married teachers and teachers who were in director position was higher than female teachers, unmarried teachers and teachers in other positions. 2. The organizational commitment of the Catholic high school teachers in Taiwan was high, and the percentage of “organizational identification” was the highest. Among the studied targets, male teachers, married teachers and 41 to 50 year-old teachers had the highest “organizational identification”. Teachers who were Catholics showed obvious difference in “willingness of making efforts” than those teachers with no religious beliefs. 3. The Catholic high school teachers in Taiwan showed highly “organizational citizenship behaviors”, and “self-demanding” had the highest percentage in these behaviors. But there were differences in their organization citizenship behaviors with different background variables. “Age” and “position” lead to the most distinguished differences while “gander”, “marriage status” and “religious belief” also made differences. 4. There was medium to high correlation between “organizational trust” and “organizational commitment” of the Catholic high school teachers in Taiwan. “Organizational trust” and “organizational citizenship behavior” had medium to low correlation. |
