| Popis: | 90 With the rapid proliferation of multimedia and popularization of Internet in recent years, the representations of information become more exchangeable. In multimedia world, standardized content description and management becomes a major issue due to the vast amount of contents created by digital means. A new approach called MPEG-7 was proposed in the hope to provide a framework for multimedia content description and management. MPEG-7 not only manages a full-fledged multimedia data but also provides content search and index. Still images are the basis elements of video. The analysis of which is more mature and thus readily available. In this thesis, the description and management of digital still images by using MPEG-7 is established. First, we generate the structure to fit in with the search and index with the basis of MPEG-7 and XML. The structure is constructed with descriptors(Ds) and description schemes(DSs), which provide structural and systematical views of the data. Second, a semi-automatic interface is provided for generating MPEG-7 document based on the Exif and JPEGDecodeParam libraries. The Ds and DSs provide a hierarchical classification and search approach. Finally, with the interface and search function, digital still images represented as such can be indexed, searched and subsequently managed. |
