Flow characteristics and sediment movement are such more complex in river bend then in straight. Secondary flow in river bends may be induce banks erosion and thalweg changes, is a ticklish problem for river management. It''s helpful for planning and desing of hydraulies engineering, if the detail of flow conditions and sediment trasport phenomenom in river bends can be understand. This research alters the mathemathical model of flow and scour around bridge pier that is developed by Tseng(1994) in order to adapt the simulation of 3D flow condition and bed evolution in biver bends. The model together with Smogorinsky''s subgrid-scale turbulent model uses weakly compressible flow equations to solve velocity and pres-sure fields with finite volume method. The topographic evolution will be simulated in which the sediment continuity equation is solved by the same numerical scheme, together with sediment transport formula for bed-load. It''s verified by B.C.Yen,C.L.Yen and Lin''s experimental result of plan bed model test, and show that superelevation, longitudinal velocity and bed evolution can be properly simulated.
