Popis: There is an enormous demand for low income housing around the world. Architects have the opportunity to serve people and aid in this need. The development of a process of design and construction that actively seeks to improve the quality of life, and is an investment in the lives of people, is one possible solution for this problem. This thesis studies different methods in which low income houses have been developed and proposes a new process of design and construction. This process is founded on previously successful constructed projects, where the people have active participation in the process of design and construction; investment in their lives through inclusion, for the community of Chivida, in Juarez, Mexico. The process is an ethical approach to architecture which seeks to improve the quality of life for those of little means.
