In order to determine the core group of journals to consider in developing the Library's collection of IAR, a bibliometric study about the use and production of scientific literature by researchers of the institution to which the library belongs is performed. From the analysis of references to papers published by researchers the obsolescence and usefulness of the literature are determined. By extracting keywords and authors the research fronts and the research groups working on these fronts are also determined, using the methods of analysis of co-occurrence of words, coauthorship and social network analysis. The results show a low obsolescence to the literature, a high preference for use and publish in two or three titles of journals in the discipline, and finally show the existence of two fronts of research within the institution. |
