Travelling is by far a moment to enjoy and to relax. In order to make sure that tourism companies, transportation operators and hotels provide such pleasure to travellers, a very comprehensive set of rules and regulations exists. This volume presents a selection of legislative texts and case law of European and Belgian Tourism Law. It focuses on the law regarding consumers protection, such as air passengers rights and rights of travellers buying travel services. In the first place it serves as a guide for students and scholars of International Tourism & Leisure Law. Marc Taeymans is lecturer Tourism Law at Thomas More University College, Mechelen. He graduated in Law at the KU Leuven and obtained a Master of Laws from the University of Virginia. He is currently also company lawyer in Brussels and a judge at the Commercial Court in Antwerp. |
