Popis: ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate the influence of intertransverse septal anesthetic block (BASIT) on postoperative pain in lumbar spine surgery. Methods: The study was carried out prospectively and observationally. Were included 105 patients who underwent posterior lumbar spine surgery, divided into two groups: 35 patients in the experimental group, who received BASIT at the end of the procedure, and 70 patients in the control group, without BASIT. Patients were assessed for low back pain (visual pain scale), opioid consumption on the 1st postoperative day, complications related to the procedure, and length of stay after surgery.
