V female normoglycemic Wistar rats were used 200–250 g . Dorsolateral incisional wounds length: 4 cm were made on the two sides of the medulla spinalis in rats. They were di- vided into 3 groups: untreated group n=12 , chitosan group n=12 and chitosan+VEGF group n=12 . The rats were sacrificed on the 3rd and 7th days of post wounding.
