Popis: Studies on female representations in medieval literature tend to be based on two stereotypes: women who fulfill the role model and those who embody various vices, showing the misogynyof the time. This articlefocuses on Hispano-Hebrew Literature, analyzingthe impersonations made by women in two narrative texts of the thirteenth century. The aim is to discuss how the female characters are configured, if perhaps these deceptions reinforce misogynistic mechanisms and the way in which other stereotypes about womenare constructed, specifically, that of ugly, hairy and bestial women.
