Popis: | Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry named after A.I. Evdokimov The purpose of the work is to evaluate collateral blood flow and cerebrovascular reserve capacity in patients with acute hemispheric cerebral infarction and history of transient ischemic attacks. 65 patients with first acute ischemic stroke were examined. The first group comprised 35 patients with a history of transient ischemic attacks; group II consisted of 30 patients who never had transient ischemic attacks in the past. The study was conducted using the NIH stroke scale, the Renkin scale, transcranial doppler imaging, duplex sсanning and computed tomography. The study found that TIA acts as a "trainer" and stimulates cerebrovascular reserve and collateral blood flow by activating endogenous neuroprotective mechanisms. |
