Popis: | About two centuries ago, solving different equations, and supported on the elasticity, French and German mathematicians proposed a theoretical model based on mathematics to predict, the strengths that can be excerpted upan and specific body. To salve this problem was quite complex at that time, do to the technological developments available. In 1956, Turner, Clough, Martin and Topp presented the Finite Element Method, run by computer (FEA/I} which solved die multiple equations used on this type of predictions with a very reliable grade of accuracy. The FEM is a software that through the used of mathematical formulas, builds a logical model similar to the real objet with a variety of materials and complex structures. Is a very versatile numerical method, useful for the research in the field of sdences, specially civil and mecharlical engineering, biomedical research, geomechanics and hydraulic test, nuclear engineering, medica' and dentistry research, and several written essays evidente the use of the finte elements method in the field of dentistry research. The prese.nt article will illustrate its performance as a tool in the Research of Field Implants, Orthodontics, Maxillary Orthopedics, Prostodontics and Maxilofacial Surgery. |
