Material technologies are the material basis for the upgrading of weapons and equipment. Owing to the advantages of light weight, high strength, design ability, corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, advanced composites can be applied to the structure of airborne weapons to obtain excellent weight reduction effect. According to the service requirements of airborne weapons, the research progress and application status of thermosetting composites, thermoplastic composites and ceramic matrix composites for aerospace are reviewed in this paper, and the application prospect of these composites in airborne weapons is discussed. |
