This study deals with the analysis of oil from a diesel internal combustion engine of a vehicle as a tool to predict maintenance needs based on its condition. The control of the main parameters of oil help to determine the effects of deterioration in the lubrication of the parts and an increase in contaminants in the oil, allows the causes of different problems to be determined. Following the check that was carried out, recommendations were made for operative and maintenance corrections and for subsequent follow-ups. Control charts which show the elements of wear allow us to predict a machine’s behavior and issue warnings when operating operative trends are exceeded. |
