Popis: | The system of non-verbal signs and sign structures plays an important role in scenography. Both the director staging the play and the actors embodying the ideas of the director on stage must master the entire palette of signs and skillfully use it for a successful and plausible creation of the character. To master the sign system of the character, an actor should use the text of the play (especially metatext). This text helps the actor get acquainted with the character traits, culture, level of education and behavioral characteristics of the role. Metatext acts as a hint of the author, contributing to the directing and stage design, a hint aimed at the non-verbal side of actors’ actions. This paper describes some non-verbal components that play an important role in the preparation of a play performance on stage. A systematic approach to the non-verbal components studying in theater sphere will allow to present the characters more accurately and thus to have a new vision of a story. |
