The anxiety and depression status and related influencing factors in patients with type 2 diabetes: Why should we care

Popis: Background: It's been found that in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) may have higher level of negative moods, yet the anxiety and depression status and related influencing factors in patients with (T2DM) remain unclear. Methods: T2DM patients who treated in our hospital from June 1 to December 31, 2020 were selected, we used self-designed patient general information questionnaire, self-rating anxiety scale, and self-rating depression scale for investigation. Logistic regression analysis was conducted to analyze related influencing factors of anxiety and depression. Results: A total of 216 patients with T2DM were included, the incidence of anxiety was 43.52%, the incidence of depression was 44.91%. The average anxiety score of T2DM patients was (48.39 ± 11.25) points, and the depression score of type 2 diabetes patients was (50.36 ± 11.44) points.
