| Popis: | This review focuses on the prevention of cardiovascular diseases and their complications in elderly patients. It discusses disease diagnosis, its verification, and risk stratification of patients. Highand very highrisk patients should receive aggressive lipid-regulating pharmacotherapy with statins in order to control the level of low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol. Such therapy has some specific features in elderly patients. |
