Distributed-based comprehensive optimal configuration strategy for reactive power and harmonic management equipment

Popis: In this study, a comprehensive optimal configuration strategy of static var generator (SVG) and voltage-detecting active power filter (VDAPF) for reactive power and harmonic management is proposed. The strategy is constructed based on the concept of distributed management and fully considers the power quality management function of multifunctional grid-tied inverter (MFGTI). Specifically, this study first proposes a sensitivity-based independent division method of reactive power and harmonic management regions to obtain stable management regions for them and to determine the installation nodes of SVG and VDAPF. Next, considering the uncertainty of photovoltaic output, load and harmonic pollution, the uncertain operation scenarios are constructed on the hourly scale based on historical data. Afterwards, a comprehensive optimal configuration model of SVG and VDAPF capacity accounting for MFGTI contribution is constructed and solved with the improved sparrow search algorithm. The model achieves the economic optimum of the management equipment under the constraints such as ensuring the power quality level to meet the standard. Lastly, extensive simulation experiments are conducted on the IEEE 33 bus system and the PG&E 69 bus system to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed strategy and the economics of management.
