Popis: In this study, 'concept cartoon', an alternative learning-teaching and assesment tool that is functionally useful in mathematic education, is studied. In the first part of the study, the need of 'concept cartoon' as the result of well accepted concept of mathematics education and its effects on the curriculums is mentioned. Then, the origins, structure, features and usage areas of the 'concept cartoon' are explained. In the next part, some findings and results of the some researches have been done on 'cartoon concept' usage in mathematics education is given. In the last part, eight 'concept cartoon' examples that have been proposed by the authors and which can be used in different levels of the education are proposed and some suggestions on the use of these cartoons are given.
