As we enter the digital age, we realise that we are surrounded by machines that observe us, know our tastes, build our public image, judge who’s right and who’s wrong. This raises questions, especially as artificial intelligences process the tracks we leave in the infospace, identify our profile and seem to predict our future. More like a nightmare than a dystopia. The essay tries to reverse the perspective by considering some examples drawn from legal experience and asking whether the digital revolution is not rather hinting at a new era of responsibility |
