Popis: Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is associated with increased abundance of Staphylococcus and Streptococcus in the lungs. Here, the authors identify a Staphylococcus nepalensis-derived peptide, named corisin, to induce apoptosis of lung epithelial cells and exacerbation of pulmonary fibrosis in mice.
