Popis: | If children try to vigorously drink fluid from a glass bottle or play with it, their tongues can be entrapped in the bottle wherein the vacuum is created. The entrapped tongue causes lingual edema, leading to the lingual necrosis and upper airway obstruction. In this case, a 5-year-old boy whose tongue was entrapped in a glass bottle visited the emergency department of a small state hospital, where his tongue was removed non-invasively by applying positive pressure into the bottle. |
