An easy and highly efficient one-pot synthesis of (E)-styrylperfluoroalkyl ketone from styrene using trifluoro-, pentafluoro-, heptafluoroacetic anhydride has been developed. This procedure mainly works on substituted styrene having electron donating groups which provide driving force to accelerate the reaction under base-free condition. |
