Considering that the means of administering a medication must always be absolutely effective that it should not condition its therapeutic effectiveness, the authors analyze the possibilities of administering oral medications, specifically antacids and anti-ulcer medications. Both are widely prescribed, in hospitals as well as primary health care centers; therefore, it is necessary that nurses know the characteristics of all of these medications well and the proper way to administer each one of them. |
