The results of combined treatment of 28 patients with gastric cancer, using cryosurgery (cryodestruction and subtotal gastric resection), were analysed. In 36 patients of the control group, the subtotal resection alone was performed. In cryodestruction of a tumor, intraoperative dissemination of tumor cells significantly reduced, which was in negative correlation with the five-year survival of the patients. In the experimental group, the five-year survival was 80% in stage II, 47.8%--in stage III, and in the control group--40 and 22.6%, respectively. |
