Two experiments were carried out--in October and November and in May and June--with two groups of cows of 25 each, belonging to the Black-and-white breed. Up to the time of the tests and during the experimental period itself both groups of animals were given a ration that was one and the same in terms of composition and size. However, the test group was subjected to a regular daily walk of 3 km on a proper field terrain. It was established that regular movement produced a favourable effect on the health condition, digestibility, parturition, and puerperal affections as well as on the milk capacity and reproduction parameters. The health status and development of offsprings was also favourably affected. |
