[Postoperative complications after inguinal PHS hernioplasty using PHS and lichtenstein hernioplasty]

Popis:	Immediate and delayed results of inguinal hernioplasty with the use of PHS and Lichtenstein hernioplasty in 228 patients are reported. It is concluded that inguinal hernioplasty with PHS and Lichtenstein hernioplasty do not significantly different in terms of the frequency of postoperative complications and relapses. Seroma occurred less frequently after PHS hernioplasty (a = 0.022). Although the frequency of a chronic postoperative pain was lower after PHS hernioplasty its severity was not significantly different in the two groups.
