Popis: Studied was the effect of crude fibres on the processes of digestion. No data could be found in the literature on the most favourable percent amounts in the diet. It was established that crude fibres should range from 22 to 25 per cent of the dry matter in order to achieve best digestion effects. Crude protein was also found to produce a favourable effect on digestion, serving as a substrate for amylase and trypsin. Unfavourable was the action of crude protein when the percent of dry matter in the ration was high; it acted adversely on the coefficients of digestibility of the other nutrients. Suggestions are made as to the most favourable use of fibres in the feeding of ruminant animals.
