| Popis: | This article shows how the ancient notion of res publica persisted in the Romano-Gothic world, even after imperium’s decline in the West. Moreover, on the basis of the available evidence, the author stresses different national sensitivity among Vandals and Huns, together with the particular attitude of the Burgundians, until Justinian’s reunification of the two res publicae and the rise of imperial idea among the Franks. |
