Tal an?lise pauta-se em pressupostos de Tedesco (2012) e Ramos (2005), que enfatizam a qualidade da educa??o; em Carvalho (2002) e Machado (2001) sobre ?Cidadania e Educa??o?; e em Lima (2014) no que diz respeito ? educa??o municipal. Ampara-se nos pressupostos de Martins (2010) sobre o transporte escolar p?blico e em Castro, Contijo e Amabile (2012), tratando-se das pol?ticas p?blicas. Analisam-se, outrossim, as legisla??es brasileiras e os documentos oficiais municipais, estaduais e federais, que versam sobre o acesso e a perman?ncia do discente na escola. Utiliza-se uma abordagem qualitativa na pesquisa documental, conforme ensina Serapioni (2000). A metodologia empregada baseia-se na an?lise do processo de escolariza??o, tendo por base os usu?rios do transporte escolar p?blico. Conclui-se, ao final, que o transporte escolar consiste em importante pol?tica p?blica, conquanto viabilize o acesso do discente ao espa?o escolar, mas sem perder de vista a import?ncia do programa de transporte escolar p?blico, reconhecendo, ainda, as limita??es que o munic?pio enfrenta, no af? de garantir educa??o p?blica de qualidade; importante avaliar que, ao deslocar o discente do seu espa?o sociocultural, pode-se concorrer para o enfraquecimento de uma rede de pol?ticas, que poderiam contribuir para uma vida com maior qualidade no campo. Entende-se necess?rio atinar que o sucesso da oferta do transporte escolar p?blico no munic?pio de Diamantina-MG passa, necessariamente, pelo investimento nos elementos desvelados ao longo do estudo: o apoio pedag?gico, a frequ?ncia, o quadro de hor?rios das aulas e o perfil dos estudantes. This work aims to analyze the provision of public school transportation, performed by the municipality of Diamantina in Minas Gerais, at the Municipal School Nath?lia Jesus Silva, between 2018 and 2019. It requires, with a focus on specific objectives, to know the users? profile, the origin of the organization of the school transport in question. Since this study is part of a professional master's degree,it made sense to provide a contribution to the municipality of Diamantina, by indicating elements capable of contributing to the service improvement.This analysis is based on the assumptions of Tedesco (2012) and Ramos (2005), who emphasize the quality of education; in Carvalho (2002) and Machado (2001) on ?Citizenship and Education?; and in Lima (2014) with regard to municipal education. It is supported by the assumptions of Martins (2010) on public school transportation and in Castro, Contijo and Amabile (2012), regarding public policies. Furthermore, Brazilian legislation and official municipal, state and federal documents, which deal with student access and permanence at school, were analyzed. A qualitative approach is used in documentary research, as taught by Serapioni (2000). The methodology used is based on the analysis of the schooling process, based on users of public school transport. At the end, we conclude that school transport is an important public policy, which makes possible for students to access the school space, but without losing sight of the importance of the public school transport program, while recognizing the limitations that the municipality faces, in its eagerness to guarantee quality public education; It is important to assess that, when moving students from their socio-cultural space, one can contribute to the weakening of a network of policies, that could contribute to a better quality of life in the countryside. It is deemed necessary to note that the success of the offer of public school transportation in Diamantina municipality necessarily involves investment in the elements unveiled throughout the study: pedagogical support, attendance, the classes timetable and the students? profile.
