Many studies have been carried out in order to identify an alternative material that can replace the use of rolled pebble and gravel in the production of asphalt concrete due to the high cost of these raw materials due to the transport distance of the superficial rock deposits (gravel), as well as the worrying environmental impact resulting from the extraction of the rolled pebble from river beds, combined with its equally high cost with transportation. Among so many alternative materials studied, the calcined clay synthesized aggregate (ASAC) stands out, replacing these coarse aggregates, since the clay presents a large reserve in the State of Amazonas.The viability of this material has already had its technical and environmental proof. What we propose in this study is the proof of the economic viability of ASAC in substitution for the rolled pebble in the production of Hot Machined Bituminous Concrete (CBUQ) in the paving of highways in our region, especially in places far from Manaus. Sabe-se que a regi??o Amaz??nica ?? carente de mat??ria prima superficial para obten????o de agregados p??treos usados na constru????o civil, mais precisamente em pavimenta????o. Muitos estudos t??m sido realizados a fim de identificar um material alternativo que possa substituir a utiliza????o do seixo rolado e a brita na produ????o do concreto asf??ltico em virtude do alto custo destas mat??rias-primas, decorrente da dist??ncia de transporte das jazidas superficiais de rochas (brita), bem como o preocupante impacto ambiental oriundo da extra????o do seixo rolado dos leitos dos rios, aliado ao seu igualmente alto custo com transporte. Dentre tantos materiais alternativos estudados destaca-se o Agregado Sinterizado de Argila Calcinada (ASAC) na substitui????o desses agregados gra??dos, visto que a argila apresenta-se com uma grande reserva no Estado do Amazonas. A viabilidade desse material j?? teve sua comprova????o t??cnica e ambiental. O que propomos neste estudo ?? a comprova????o da viabilidade econ??mica do ASAC em substitui????o ao seixo rolado na produ????o do Concreto Betuminoso Usinado a Quente (CBUQ) na pavimenta????o de rodovias de nossa regi??o, especialmente em locais distantes de Manaus.
