Popis: Objective: to explore the primary health care nurses activities in pupils’ oral cavity diseases prevention Methodology: The study involved 29 general practice and community nurses working in primary health care centres (organized in Kaunas Dainavos PHCC, Kėdainiai PHCC and Utena PHCC) and the 313 pupils between 10-18. Research method is a questionnaire-based survey, which took place from January 2014 to October 2014. Two questionnaires were used by investigator Results and conclusions. Most of the Primary Health Care Centre nurses sometimes teach pupils in the oral cavity care, one-third of the nurses involved in the study don’t teach them either. Commonly for teaching pupils of oral cavity care are used passive teaching methods. Only a small part of the Primary Health Care Centre nurses raise their professional qualification of educology in the field of health education. The nurses, who are more likely to improve their qualification, significantly more often. Nurses that work in Primary Health Care Centre and have more important intangible motives, significantly more often perform various professional functions and procedures at their work place, compared with nurses, for which the intangible motives are less important. Pupils‘ living in different regions of Lithuania knowledge about dental and oral care is weak - value is 5 scores. Pupils of Kaunas region significantly better are aware of how frequently and correctly to brush their teeth, when to change the toothbrush, Pupils of Kėdainiai region significantly better know when to finish brushing their teeth.
