Popis: The aim of the bachelor´s thesis "The Books of the Foundations of the Deanery in České Budějovice from the 17th and 18th century" is a description of these two books. The theme of the foundations, especially those closer to the research of this issue, has been elaborated by historians very little so far. The thesis is divided into four chapters. In the first one there is a presentation of the accessible literature related to this topic, and there is also a specification of the term foundation. As for the terminology, the term foundation had been explained out of the juridicaly and also out of the eccelsiasticaly point of view. The second chapter presents the place, the books apply to, namely the Deanery in České Budějovice. The core of this thesis are the third and the fourth chapter. In the first mentioned chapter, there are a description of external and internal characteristics of the researchings books. Due to the extensive content of the material, there is more attention focused on the first book only. The last chapter is dedicated to the foundations from the first book, which had been written till the year 1800, and thus it enables a more detailed analysis. The conclusion of the thesis contains a summary of the meaning of the foundations and of the foundation´s books mentioned above, as a very valuable source of the acclesiasticaly provenance. The thesis contains an overview of the applied sources and literature, and it is accompanied by appendices, containing a comprehensive table including a very clear summary of the content of the first book. The conclusion also contains some charts, more tables and reproductions.
