The aim of my final thesis is to provide a synopsis of the current level of knowledge of montane archaeology in South Bohemia which will focus on gold exploitation. The focal point was in the Vodňany area where numerous relics of montane activity are located, especially after gold mining. Those relics have been standing out of archaeologist´s focus until recently. Identification and documentation of the relicts of montane activities have been implemented with the use of written source, airborne laser shots DMR 4G and field research. Resulting findings of past mining activities are summarized in this final thesis. |
