This diploma thesis named: The Sfumato Method in Teaching Reading to Dyslexic Pupils deals with the issue of the formation of reading skills by methods of first reading in dyslexic pupils. The work is divided into theoretical and research parts. The theoretical part focuses on methods of teaching first reading, especially the analytical-synthetic method and the Sfumato method. The thesis also deals with reading and writing at younger school age, specific learning disabilities and dyslexia. The thesis aims to evaluate the effectiveness of selected methods of teaching initial reading in relation to the prevention of development of dyslexia. The results of the research investigation are supported by tabular and graphical material. |
