The bachelor thesis Prosazování energetického programu ČR během předsednictví ČR EU v první polovině roku 2009 ve stínu energetické krize na Ukrajině a pádu vlády ČR aims to briefly evaluate if the two chosen factors, the Russia-Ukraine gas crisis and the fall of the government of the Czech Republic on the 24th of March 2009, had any effect on the upholding of the energy policy of the Czech Republic during its Presidency of the European Union. The thesis is based on the analysis of the work programme of the Czech Republic that was published before the actual presidency, and its comparation to achieved outcomes with consideration of the designated affairs. Both chosen factors are closely linked to the ability of the Czech Republic to uphold its energy policy. But while the gas crisis was an interstate conflict which directly influenced the safety of the European Union countries, the fall of the government of the Czech Republic was a domestic outcome of a long-term problematic situation in the parliament after the elections in the year 2006. |
