Popis: Global warming is the process of gradually increasing the average annual temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and the oceans. According to the UN Interstate Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the average temperature across the Earth has risen by 0.7 °C compared to the start of the industrial revolution (from the second half of the 18th century), and that «a large proportion of the warming observed in the last 50 years is caused by human activity» primarily the release of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4).
