New bathymetric, geologic and geophysical data obtained during the R.V. Jean Charcot Transmerou cruise in the northern Red Sea lead to a regional synthesis of the geology of this segment. Detailed surveys of the Mabahiss Deep (near 25 degree 20N) Shaban Deep (Jean Charcot near 26 degree 13N) and the Red Sea-Aqaba Suez, triple junction were made during the cruise. Ship's tracks of Transmerou are represented. |
