Popis: | Aortic arch is part of aorta, the major blood vessel that exit from left ventricle of heart. Aortic arch hassome variation of branching pattern that is important to know. The purpose of this study is to determine thepercentage of human aortic arch variation in cadaver at Department of Anatomy and Histology Faculty ofMedicine Universitas Airlangga. The data are useful for anatomists, radiologists, and surgeons especiallyfor surgical procedures of thorax, head and neck regions. An observational research using primary data andtotal sampling technique to 24 cadaver was done. Result of this study revealed that 88,2% of the aortic archshowed classical three branches pattern consist of brachiocephalic trunk, left common carotid and left subclavian artery (type I), and 11,8% have two branches namely a common trunk for the brachiocephalic and left common carotid, and the left subclavian artery (type II). Based on their gender, male have 100%branching pattern of type I, whereas female have 60% branching pattern of type I and 40% of type II. Basedon the result, we suggest that population in Surabaya have several types of branching pattern of the aorticarch. |
