A review of methods for home-visit practice based on an analysis of students' learning

Popis: 公衆衛生看護学実習Iにおける家庭訪問実習を体験した学生16名の学びに関する記述134件の分析から実習方法を検討した。学生の学びに関する記述内容は,実習目標との関連から,【効果的な保健指導】【保健師の機能・役割】【対象の理解】【保健師の援助技術】【体験による発見】【保健師に必要とする能力】の6つのカテゴリーに分類できた。実習目標に関する学びを検討してきたが,学生はほぼ学び得ていることがわかった。実習目標に対する具体的な学習方法を提示しているが,今後は行動目標を示すことにより,関連性を持たせながら意味づけを行う必要が示唆された。学生が家庭訪問による援助技術を高めるためには,「難しい」と感じた情報収集,保健指導,コミュニケーションなどの内容や学びの少なかった内容についても今後理解につながるように,教員や指導者と連携を図りながら調整をしてすすめていきたい。
We reviewed methods for home-visit practice in the course Public Health Nursing Practice I by analyzing 134 descriptions on learning written by 16 students who had participated in this practice. With respect to the practice goals, their descriptions on learning were grouped into 6 categories: [effective health guidance], [functions/roles of public health nurses], [understanding of the subject], [assistance skills of public health nurses], [discoveries through experiences], and [competence required of public health nurses]. We examined their learning in regard to the practice goals, and recognized that it was generally successful. While we had been promoting specific learning methods to achieve the practice goals, this study suggested the necessity of presenting behavioral goals to illustrate the significance of practice in association with lectures. To further promote students assistance skills through home-visit practice, we hope to continually cooperate with professors and instructors to improve methods to help students understand issues they perceive to be "difficult" or have learned little of regarding information gathering, health guidance, and communication.
