Popis: For past twenty months since January, 1966, 619 strains of pathogenic bacteria were isolated from urine of the patients with urinary tract infection and submitted for sensitivity tests to aminobenzyl penicillin as well as other commonly used antibiotics. It was found that the organisms resistant against aminobenzyl penicillin could appear if the administration period was prolonged with increasing total amount used. The result, however, was that more than 70% showed sensitivity of + + or better '0ihich was as excellent as kanamycin and of no comparison with other agents. During the first three months, the cure rate of urinary tract infection treated with aminobenzyl penicillin was 100% and afterward gradually dropped to approximately 70 % along with decreased sensitivity. No untoward effects were noticed probably because of exclusion of the allergic patients.
