Popis: | Foreign body ingestion is a common indication for general surgery consultation in the emergency setting. We report a case of large esophageal foreign body ingestion involving a metallic butter knife lodged at the gastroesophageal junction that required endoscopic removal. Furthermore, we report a novel modification to the dual snare technique of retrieval incorporating a snare placed through a nasogastric tube to facilitate introduction and manipulation of the second snare. |
