Popis: | Thiocolchicoside (Miotens®), a muscle relaxant agent, is frequently administered in association regimen with other drugs, such as anti-inflammatory drugs or vitamins. The aim of this study was to investigate the physicochemical compatibility between thiocolchicoside (Miotens®) and other injectable drugs frequently used in association. Physicochemical properties of thiocolchicoside mixtures with different drugs, including colour, clarity, pH and drug content were observed or measured before and after (3 h) mixing at room temperature. Results show that the association of Miotens® with different anti-inflammatory drugs and vitamins does not cause, up to 3 h from mixing, any significant variation in the physicochemical parameters mentioned above. In conclusion the results obtained demonstrated the physicochemical compatibility of thiocolchicoside (Miotens®) with diverse anti-inflammatory drugs and vitamins. |
