Popis: Patient X, a fifty-two-year-old Caucasian male, presents in clinic with a chief symptom of ongoing intermittent pain, radiating along the ilioinguinal area toward the groin, bilaterally for the past year with the left side more severe than the right side. His current medical issues include alcoholism; a thirty-five-year, three-pack-a-day smoking history; and morbid obesity with a body mass index of 55 kg/m2. He has hyperglycemia, hypercholesterolemia, and hypertension.
