Popis: | Introduction The purpose of this article is to review the most common orthopaedic conditions that are seen in a general pediatric practice. Two classic textbooks frequently consulted by pediatric orthopaedic surgeons are recommended. ‘1’ Topics have been arranged first by age group and secondarily by anatomic location. The description of each clinical entity focuses primarily on the presenting complaints and physical findings and outlines a plan for laboratory and x-ray evaluation. Natural history, key to understanding the need for either reassurance or active treatment, differential diagnosis, and treatment are also discussed. |
