Immunoglobulin levels and auto-antibodies in normal healthy adults

Popis:	LEVELS of the immunoglobulins G, A and M were measured in samples of serum obtained from normal healthy donors using commercially prepared immunodiffusion plates (Hoechst). The results were compared with figures obtained in similar studies carried out in Europe. Significant differences in IgM levels were noted, the IgM levels in Irish subjects being higher.Auto-antibodies were also identified in the sera of some of these subjects. Their significance in healthy adults is discussed.
